.
MyCreativity: Convention on Creative Industries Research
16-18 November 2006, Amsterdam
http://www.networkcultures.org/mycreativity

MyCreativity brings together international creative industries practitioners and researchers to define trends in creative industries. Beyond the hype and the good intentions, MyCreativity looks at the actual working conditions of creative workers. MyCreativity deconstructs policy discourse by defining critical concepts, and comparing creative cities and economies worldwide. The creative industries concept was invented and developed in the UK of the late 90s, and is now spreading all over the globe, copy-pasting its specific format onto diverse local concepts. MyCreativity wants to examine what happens when state-policies advocate neo-liberal market solutions.
