Anthrax scare in Montenegro

PODGORICA, Saturday - The post office in the Montenegrin port of Bar has
been closed after a postal worker saw white powder leaking from a letter
addressed to Television Montenegro.

The post office will remain sealed until police in Podgorica have results
of an analysis of the powder.

There have been similar incidents in post offices in Podgorica, Sutomor and
Cetinje.

Postal authorities have appealed for calm, saying there was no reason to
panic.
