[Nettime-bold] Re: <nettime> walk for capitalism |
A very welcome move on the part of Capitalists, a much neglected constituency among those who see visible direct action as an important means of influencing the Public. Cultural Ethnographers will, doubtlessly, be keen to see who Capitalists think they are, how they define themselves as a culture, and how their demands, if any, are articulated, with what expected outcomes. Additionally, the health benfits of Capitalists deciding to walk rather than drive will improve the urban environment for us all. Capitalists should be encouraged to walk in all of our cities rather than drive more often. We should all lend our moral and material support to this initiative. This is an encouraging move on the part of Capitalists. It is good to see that they have decided to become visible as a social and political force sharing special interests groups taking to the streets. What's next? Rolex's Against Racism? Wall Street for Welfare? The Pentagon for Peace? National Security Agency are People Too? Marketeers for Mohammed? > I'm proud to say that there is no walk for capitalism scheduled for > my city; how abbout yours? > > > http://www.walkforcapitalism.org/index.html#cities > > b > > # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission > # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, > # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets > # more info: majordomo@bbs.thing.net and "info nettime-l" in the msg body > # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@bbs.thing.net > > -- _______________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup 1 cent a minute calls anywhere in the U.S.! http://www.getpennytalk.com/cgi-bin/adforward.cgi?p_key=RG9853KJ&url=http://www.getpennytalk.com _______________________________________________ Nettime-bold mailing list Nettime-bold@nettime.org http://amsterdam.nettime.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nettime-bold
