Marina Grzinic vie et travaille à
Ljubljana. Elles est une chercheuse à l'Institut de
philosophie au ZRC SAZU (centre de recherche et recherche scientifique
à l'académie des sciences et des arts de slovenie). Elle a
un doctorat et travaille comme theoriciennes des media, critique
d'art et conservatrice free lance. Engagée dans l'art vidéo
depuis 1982, elle a produit en collaboration avec Aina Smid plus de 30
videos art, film courts, installations, des sites web et des CD-ROM
interactifs (ZKM Karlsruhe, Germany). Grzinic et Smid ont reçu
plusieurs prix pour leurs travaux ( videonale, Bonn 1992; Deutscher
Videokunst Preis/Multimediale 3, ZKM, Karlsruhe 1993; San Francisco
International Film Festival, 1994 and 1995; FIV Buenos Aires,
1995.
Grzinic a plublié des centaines d'articles
et essais et a publié 8 recueils de textes. En 97-98 elle a
fait des recherches post doctoral au Japan Society for the
Advancement of Science
in Tokyo, basé à Tokyo Institute of
Polytechnics. Grzinic a fait parti de Apex Art Residency
Program, New York, 2001.

Marina Grzinic (margrz@zrc-sazu.si), lives
and works in Ljubljana, as
researcher at the Institute of Philosophy at the ZRC SAZU (Scientific
and
Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Art) in
Ljubljana.
She received is doctor of Philosophy. She also works as a
freelance media theorist, art
critic and curator. Marina Grzinic has been involved with video art
since
1982. In collaboration with Aina Smid she has
produced more than 30 video
art projects, a short film, numerous video and media installations,
Internet
websites and an interactive CD-ROM (ZKM,
Karlsruhe, Germany).Grzinic and
Smid have received several major international awards for their video
works,
including Videonale, Bonn 1992; Deutscher
Videokunst Preis/Multimediale 3,
ZKM, Karlsruhe 1993; San Francisco International Film Festival, 1994
and
1995; FIV Buenos Aires, 1995.
Marina Grzinic has published hundreds of articles and essays and 8
edited
books. During the 1997-98 academic year, she held the
Postdoctoral
Fellowship for Research of the Japan Society
for the Advancement of Science
in Tokyo. She was based at the Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics.
Grzinic
took part in the Apex Art Residency Program, New York,
2001.
