The series debuts Wednesday, February 2nd, 2000, 1:30 pm PST, with authors drawn from The Digital Dialectic: New Essays on New Media (MIT Press, 1999) collected and edited by Peter Lunenfeld, following his seminal 1995 conference. On Wednesday, February 2nd at 1:30 pm PST, Peter Lunenfeld and panel arrive in avatar to discuss how his ideas have evolved since the original conference. The discussion is open to the public. Forums run one hour either Wednesdays or Saturdays. The next CyberForum occurs Wednesday, February 9th at 1:30 pm PST and features Michael Heim, author of Virtual Realism and The Metaphysics of Virtual Reality. On February 26th, at 1:30 pm PST, Katherine Hayles, author of The Cosmic Web and How We Became Posthuman: Virtual Bodies in Cybernetics, Literature, and Informatics, addresses the Forum.
