<nettime> Fw: Proposal for an European meeting of struggle |
>From centro sociale occupato autogestito OFFICINA 99 - Via Gianturco 101Laboratorio occupato S.K.A. - Calata Trinità Maggiore 15/6 (p.za del Gesù)tel/fax ++39-81-5522399cell. 0335-6215304 0368-3913247e-mail: ska@ecn.orghttp://www.ecn.org/ska To open a route of freedom: against any border, any racism, for the freecirculation right for all.The neoliberalist development barricades always more its borders: theirfrontiers and our seas are full of bodies. Our cities are full of women and men who are forced to clandestinity andwho are relegated in to ghettos. For them, our governments invented somenew prisons. Every year thousands of victims of the neoliberalism, of itspoverty, of its wars, come in Europe, and often the COUNTRY-GATE is Italy. This is the real meaning of the Shengen Europe, citadel opened to the freecirculation of goods and capitals, but closed to the "damneds of theearth", the refugees, the immigrants, the women and the men victims of thecapitalistic modernity. They enter from the fissures of the fortress builtby the euro's governments and by the OTAN: the only possibility that theneoliberalist blackmail allows them is to be a workforce divisible throughthe same mechanisms used for tomatoes and milk, shutting the one in excessin the concentration camps, or expelling it. "Arbeit macht frei" is the inspiring witticism again: from the Austria ofHaider to the Spain of Aznar, From the Grait Britain of Blair to theItaly.....this is the new "Zeit Geist", terrible spirit of theEuropean unity, that open the new millennium. All is free, exempt peoples. The new walls pass not only towards the seasand the borders, but also in the cities, in to the commonplace thatrepresents the effect and not the cause of the mediatic and institutionalracism. The insecurity and the social trouble are imposed like permanentemergencies, to give always more space to the policies of social controland repression. But, in this year, a little door on a space of freedom has been opened:from Seattle to Davis, from Florence to Wine.......The mobilisations haveinvolved thousands of women and men also in Europe and Italy, where a greatnumber of political structures organised common struggles for the work, thehealth, to contest the places of the exclusion and of the segregation. These are the autoorganized experiences that started to break up thefortress Europe, to anticipate its radical transformation in "agora" of ofthe peoples and of the rights. For this reason, not simplifying thecomplexity of the antiracist movement, we think that you all feel the needto build connections and convergences that allow the development of commonmovements, struggles and aims which are the foundations for an Europeanantagonist policy. So, we propose the organisation of a meeting in NARDO', Puglia (SoutheastItaly), approximately for the first week of August, a meeting of struggleand discussion, with the aim of checking the consolidation of a network, anEuropean co-ordination to give more force and continuity to themobilisations against the fortress Europe, its racist laws, its wars. LET'S MEET IN PUGLIA, THE GREAT OTAN'S FLATTOP IN TO THE ADRIATIC SEA: THE EUOPEAN MORE "BORDERED" REGION, THE MOST ARMED REGION AGAINST IMMIGRANTS, ANDLET'S MAKE OF THIS MEETING A COLLECTIVE ACTION OF RADICAL CRITICISM AGAINSTTHE ARMED BORDERS OF NEOLIBERALISM, OF CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE TO CONCRETELY GIVELIFE TO THE RIGTH OF EVERY MAN AND EVERY WOMAN TO FREE CIRCULATE.
