<nettime> Horst Mahler and Radicalism etc... |
Dear Schultz & Barbrook the fall of radical politics to conservative reaction it is an interesting field to analize. ( remember Roy Eldridge and a Thousand others) If nothing else because the Net is today practically the only area where radical culture is produced. But i don't think the reasons are only economic ( the seventies radicalism and the oil crisis) there are several reasons to be looked for. For instance "personal protagonism" which leads to get out of the "Radical Crowd" to a wider personal audience. Multimedia Artist Laurie Anderson sings "Nobody wants to be a Zero, everybody wants to be One...01010101010101101010....." Is'nt the Net the ultimate Democracy?
