Re: <nettime> Request to Nettime to be part of DISTRIBUTED CREATIVITY |
This does raise interesting questions, not only about online community and the problematic construct of nettime as community - but also about the structure of nettime and its adaptability - if this were an augment to the list and not the 'theme' for five-plus weeks, I don't see why not. Nettime is relatively predictable at this point (including of course the Unstable Digest); something like this mike extend or expand the contributors and membership. I do wonder about the possibility of further discussion on the nature etc. of collaboration - which often plays itself out - but this brings up the possibility of thinking about such issues as cultural capital, hegemony, political production, and so forth. Even nettime's initial issue - that of problematic community - is something that this brings up at the least - Alan On Thu, 25 Sep 2003, Beth R. wrote: > I'm writing to you from Eyebeam, NYC's not-for-profit art and technology <....> http://www.asondheim.org/ http://www.asondheim.org/portal/ http://www.anu.edu.au/english/internet_txt Trace projects http://trace.ntu.ac.uk/writers/sondheim/index.htm finger sondheim@panix.com # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@bbs.thing.net and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@bbs.thing.net
