Re: <nettime> Why Isn't There Men's Studies? [6x] |
Ugh, nothing more repulsive than examining one's own gender, except out of onanistic and narcissitic desperation. Our Bodies Ourselves grossed out, the Vaginal Dialogues trivialized, joining the near numberless variations of malish mono-sexual, Socratic monologues with hisism's pathetic imaginary alterity in which the examiner always wins after bouts of auto-generated masoch and sade forever trying to posit exteriority. Otherness fancied a way out of being unable to escape solitude, and fabricated genderness, raceness, ethness, intergender combat, like concepts of humanity and misanthropy, dallied with faux concern with or hatred for anything or anybody besides one's cold-sweaty masturbation upon the confabulated victor victim presumed to desire and loathe your calculating carcass. Women as a concept hardly improves on that of men, whether with or as opposition. Hustle they are, sales pitches for itch balm, calls for humility and aggression in the name of the gods of abasement and triumph. Avoid genital infection, love a rock. # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@bbs.thing.net and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@bbs.thing.net
