<nettime> arrest of Andrej Holm - sign petitions |
hi everyone, for some reason the news of the arrest of Andrej Holm - a researcher at the Humboldt University in Berlin who does work on gentrification and the housing market in Berlin - has not reached this mailing list yet. He has been arrested under par. 129a of the German criminal code law. This enables the state to put those in jail - for an extended period - without a clear proof of crime, merely on the basis of suspicions that the person belongs to a terrrorist organization. In the current case, it leads to people - in particular from leftist scenes - having their house searched, because in their writings they refer to such 'problematic' words as gentrification or precarization. Please take some time to sign the following petitions: - The letter from Hartmut Häussermann's et al. <http://www.freeandrej.net.ms/> (German only). - The INURA-letter <http://www.policing-crowds.org/petition.html> best, Bas # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@kein.org and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@kein.org
