Re: <nettime> Umberto Eco: Not such wicked leaks |
Beautiful post, thanks for the insights. Unlike our miserable diplomats, many here on the US left admire the Canadian public cultural production systems and resent the kind of arrogance that would push Fox and Disney and the like on the rest of the world. It's great to see their petty notion of an "inferiority complex" turned around backwards, revealing their own incapacity to even imagine other ways of articulating a national culture, an internal debate and a relation to others. I can only hope that this leak gives some credence to those of you who fight against the empire-builders in Canada itself, whose power has been all too obvious over the last decade... all the best, Brian On 12/10/2010 06:22 AM, Flick Harrison wrote: > I think this article un-Ecoistically weak, in that he seems to miss > much of the substance of the leaks. <...> # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: http://mail.kein.org/mailman/listinfo/nettime-l # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@kein.org
