Re: <nettime> Regarding "amsterdamtime" Cn domain name and Internet Keyword |
So - they are going to extort a couple bucks out of you to protect your identity in the .cn space? If a scam is above-board legally, is it really a scam? In Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections there's a university professor who loses his job under sordid circumstances, and ends up being hired to edit the grammar and spelling on a ponzi scheme website. I'm kind of glad the scammers generally don't do that. PS - My parter and dad, who live thousands of miles apart, both received phone calls this week from "Windows Support". - Flick # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: http://mx.kein.org/mailman/listinfo/nettime-l # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@kein.org
