<nettime> "demonstrations linked to Israel-Hamas conflict" |
Hi,I received this list as a part of a travel-warning, but, instead, I find it impressive in a positive way :: so many people are organising the anti-war protests!!

On 28 October, mass demonstrations occurred in major urban centres. In Paris (France), tear gas was used to disperse protesters following clashes between demonstrators and the security forces. The protest had proceeded despite a prohibition order from the authorities, and 21 people were arrested and nearly 1,500 others received a fine.In London (UK), for the second consecutive week, around 100,000 protesters blocked the city centre, with isolated incidents of clashes with the police. The police had put in place certain restrictions prohibiting protests from occurring in the vicinity of the Israeli embassy. In Berlin (Germany), several thousand protesters caused localised disruption.
