<nettime> B00 counting

what can you count on?

there is the general feeling that it is hard to count on anything these
days. some people even ask themselves what is there to count on. but
counting can be a very unifying experience (the millennium countdown is
one example). if people consider some realities as missed opportunities,
then counting might have an integrative and therapeutic effect on those
people as well. and counting should start from zero. from 00. (count up!
any countdown only leads to disaster!)

when you start from 00 you start from scratch. everyone from the age of 10
should be able to count at least to 100. the radio spectrum goes up to
108.

there might not be anyTHING to count on, but there are people to count on.
what is needed? a starting point, possibly a re-birthday with a symbolic
value.

reboot, define zero, start counting
