[Nettime-nl] FW: HWW: Uitnodiging/invitation: Counter/Cartography Lab |
<invitation><english version> Invitation: Counter/Cartography Lab Presentation on Friday November 12th at 20h00 @ Het Wilde Weten Dear, Het Wilde Weten is very pleased to invite you to: Counter/Cartography Lab The first step in creating friendships and forging alliances, is to get acquainted and explore mutual interests. Taking the local terrain of Rotterdam as a reference, this lab will make an impromptu cartography of different artistic and activist strategies of engaging with a given urban, social and political order. It will be an opportunity for different networks to meet and link, and to discuss about the potentials and limits of collaboration and collectivity as a mode of artistic and political expression. This lab follows up on a first meeting between members of CCRED (Collective CREative Dissent) and makers of the Parallel Ports website, and answers to a basic need to get to know each other better. Join us and introduce your own ideas, examples and/or projects in relation to the subject of the evening. CCRED will introduce their counter/cartography project, and there will be a presentation of the Parallel Ports website. Based on the discussions of the evening, there will be a series of walks around the city which will take place on Saturday, the next day. These tours will highlight a selection of relevant examples of urban development, art in public space and community projects. The walks will be documented in video and photos, to be compiled into a stream which will be played from www.parallelports.org, at a date to be announced. The material will also become part of the expanding archive/cartography of CCRED, represented on the web and at various future events, labs, installations.
