-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- site specific IndexPage Competition First Edition www.sitespecific.it Site Specific offers to all Digital Artist/Designer the opportunity to create the Index page of the website. The winning Artist will have a large space inside the "Extras" room of the website to introduce him/herself ,to be interviewed and to have some images dispalyed on; the winning work will become the Index Page of Site Specific during all the Site Specific @ Web group exhibition (see the website for more details about the partecipating artists). How to partecipate? Partecipating Artists/Designers have to send to indexpage@sitespecific.it : · 1 work in .jpg, .png, .bmp, .gif or in Html/Ascii language (animations, processings etc. included); · a brief presentation of the work; · an Artist's CV. There are no limitations for the size (but remembrer that the most common screen-size is 1024x768 pixels). No fee is requested for the partecipation to the first "Index Page Competition". Works will be valued by a jury of critics and curators expert in new media and net art. The jury is composed by: Tatiana Bazzichelli, hacktivism and new media art expert and founder of the AHA: Activism-Hacking-Artivism project. Mauro Ceolin, multimedia artist. Corrado Mora, founder and artistic director of the Site Specific project. Domenico Quaranta, curator and art (expecially new medias art) critic. Valentina Tanni, art critic, curator, professor, content manager interested particularly in the link between art and new technologies and in the phenomenon of contamination between languages. The deadline is March, the 10th, 2006.
