Dear colleagues, we invite you to the next session of the research seminar "Focus on Internet", led by Milton Mueller, XS4ALL Chair at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft. Friday, 26 June 2009 13:30-15:30 Delft University of Technology Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management Jaffalaan 5, NL-2628BX Delft room B1.470 The theme for this session is: "Internet Governance: A Critique of the New Literature" In the past year, three book-length works on Internet governance have appeared. They are: * /Multi-Stakeholder Governance and the Internet Governance Forum/ by Jeremy Malcolm * /Internet Governance: The New Frontier of Global Institutions/, by John Mathiason * /Powerscape of Internet Governance/ by Slavka Antonova *Hans Klein*, Associate Professor of Public Policy, Georgia Institute of Technology, and a long-time scholar of internet governance, will outline their different conceptual approaches and critique their strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, Professor *Wouter Stol*, NHL-University of Leeuwarden, who did the study for the Dutch Ministry of Justice on the illegality of content filtering, will be here to join the discussion. Others involved in similar areas are invited to also discuss their work and bring their ideas, either on the substance and politics of the issue, or on research methodologies and theoretical approaches.
