Fundatia Culturala Meta, in parteneriat cu Goethe-Institut Bukarest
organizeaza in perioada 12 octombrie - 16 noiembrie 2006  cea de a doua
editie a *Bienalei Tinerilor Artisti.*



Aceasta editie a Bienalei, cu tema *Absent Without Leave*, include o
expozitie internationala, o masa rotunda, o serie de workshop-uri si *un
portfolio review workshop dedicat studentilor la arte plastice si tinerilor
artisti debutanti, care va avea loc in Bucuresti pe data de 13-14 octombrie
2006.*



Artistii interesati in a-si prezenta lucrarile intr-un context artistic
international au posibilitatea sa interactioneze cu comisia de evaluare, sa
obtina un feedback profesional in urma discutiilor deschise, sa initieze si
sa-si creeze noi contacte. *Fiecare aplicant dispune de 15 minute pentru
prezentarea portofoliului.   *



Artistii - care realizeaza lucrari de orice gen si care lucreaza in orice
mediu - sunt invitati sa trimita materialele sau portofoliile in format
digital care sa contina foto-documentia lucrarilor lor; lucrarile trebuie
insotite de un CV concis si de o descriere a conceptului. Toate materialele
trebuie sa contina urmatoarele date: Numele Artistului_Anul/Mediul lucrarii.
*Nu se percepe taxa pentru aplicatii*. Acestea trebuie trimise la urmatoarea
adresa:  Fundatia Culturala META, Str Luiggi Galvani., Nr. 61-63,  2, Buc
uresti, Romania cu mentiunea PORTFOLIO REVIEW WORKSHOP*. **Data limita
pentru trimiterea aplicatiilor este 15 Septembrie 2006*.

*The **Young Artist**s'* *Biennial**, 2nd edition** *organized by the* META
Cultural Foundation *in partnership with *Goethe**-**Institut
Bu**karest*will take place
in Bucharest, between October 12th - November 16th 2006.



This edition of the Biennial -*Absent without Leave-* will include, apart
from the international exhibition, a round-table and a series of workshops,
*a portfolio review session, dedicated to art** students and
**emerging **visual
artists**, which will take place at Bucharest on October, 13– 14, 2006.*



*The portfolio is the cohersive, unitary collection of art works that an
artist identi**f**ies as being most repre**s**entative. This carefully
assembled selection of **completed **works **and projects **serves as the
basis of the evaluation process - aimed at identifying the in-depth
development of the artist himself. ***



Young artists, wishing to introduce *their works in an international
artistic context, are offered the opportunity *to meet the review commitee,
to get a professional feedback through open discussions, to establish and
develop new contacts which will widen their creative perspectives. *A
15-minute interactive presentation with the reviewers is scheduled for each
applicant. *



Artists, working in any medium and all genres, are invited to submit their
materials or digital portfolios consisting of photo-documentation of their
work; a short CV and an artist's statement should accompany the works. All
the materials should be labelled under the following pattern: Name of the
Artist_ Title/Year/Medium of the work. *The application is free of
charge*and should be sent at the following address: META Cultural
Foundation,
Luiggi Galvani Str., No. 61-63, District 2, Bucharest, Romania with the
endorsement  PORTFOLIO REVIEW. *The submission deadline is September, 15,
2006.*
