The Woman That's All Herself Wherever She Goes

My first contact with Mi-Yeon was when she showed me that
'journey of the heart' kind of series she did after loosing the
baby in her womb. It was really good. Well, it was a series of
soul memories, so that one wasn't actually a question of good or
bad... It evidenced a sort of toughness to use the own misfortune
as a catalyst for photographic work, instead of drifting off into
sadness. A creator's theory of method. There's a former self in
photographers (including myself), an evil side that seduces to
make use of such things. . . .

The Potentials of 'Compressed Film'

BMW of North America, LLC has launched "bmwfilms.com," a web site
that is specialising in the screening of short films. Wong
Kar-Wai, Guy Ritchie, and three other big names from the business
were assigned with the direction and production of a film series
with the title "The Hire," starring British actor Clive Owen. . .
The Spanish culture web site "No Todo" is another one that shows
movies on the net, hosting an exclusive web film festival. The
"International Compressed Film 2001" is world-wide the first of
its kind, and features movies up to a file size of 3.5MB in AVI,
MPEG, Flash, QuickTime, RealVideo and other formats. By the
closing date for entries at the end of June a total of 449 films
were sent in, and the organisers have counted about 600,000
downloads so far. . . . .
