Computing Arts 2001 The first major conference devoted to issues in humanities computing generally in the Australia-Pacific region, Computing Arts 2001 seeks to bring together scholars, academic researchers, publishers, librarians and archivists in the region and beyond, with key speakers in the field, to foster the exchange of ideas and to extend the use of digital resources, techniques and tools in humanities research and teaching.?Computing Arts 2001 will explore the impact of digitisation on the humanities in a scholarly context, focusing on new methods of creating, using, and conserving the resources which comprise our common cultural heritage. It will explore the impact of new technologies on research and creative endeavour, on teaching and learning, on publishing, on conservation and curation, on librarianship and archiving. It will be the first forum of its kind in the region to bring together practitioners in such a wide range of disciplines.
