We would like to inform you about goEast -  Festival of Central and Eastern European Film.

The 2nd goEast Film Festival will take place from 10th to 17th April 2002 in Wiesbaden, Germany. It will focus the audience?s awareness on important and current film productions from Eastern European countries and it will facilitate dialogue between artists, producers and film professionals. 

The competition section of goEast presents about 15 exceptional feature and documentary films that have been produced in the past two years, either in Central and Eastern Europe exclusively or as co-production with major Eastern European participation.
Besides the competition goEast will comprise a special symposium, a students section and several fringe programs.
Feature films compete for the main award including a prize money of 20.000 DM. An additional award for the Best Documentary Film for 15.000 DM will be offered for the first time. The films further compete for the award for the Best direction with a prize money of 15.000 DM.
