European media summerschool, Duesseldorf, 4-15 August 1997 The third Summer School on European Media will have as its theme 'Social implications of the Information Society'. Media experts from all corners of the media field will give an insight on societal implications of new media developments. The emphasis is on the way European policy makers and media companies are dealing with the economic, legal and cultural problems that accompany the introduction of the Information Highway. Some grants will be available, especially for applicants from Central and Eastern Europe.
