This year rootless Shorts wants to showcase the best and the worst of the
short film.

Taking the rootless theme in its broadest sense if your film challenges,
explores, disgusts, revels, reviles, defines, excites and enjoys in this
area then send IT.

Running alongside an International Live art event - "rootLeSS 97" - that
brings national and international artists to Hull for a HOT WEEKEND of live,
performance, installation, video and discussion of ART, rootLeSS SHORTS will
complement and be complemented by this large-scale art & media event...

rules of entry
1 Preview copies should only be on VHS PAL only
2 All entries should be marked with senders Name, Address, Title, Running
time
3 Preview tapes should Include a S.A .E. for return of tapes
4 Screened copies will be returned postage paid by H.T.B.A.
5 Selection is by the organisers of the event.
6 Insurance is the responsibility of the sender.
The organisers will not take responsibillity for any loss or damage to
entrys
7 Selected entrys will receive a Festival Pass and UK residents will receive
Travel Expenses to the event.
8 Entrys are restricted to 15 minutes.
9 All entrys should be marked: ARTWORK - FOR CULTURAL USE ONLY - NO
COMMERCIAL VALUE
10 Please include two Black & White Photos with each entry
11 Please Include a completed application form for each entry
