Launching the first in the dfi series are guest curators Armin Medosch and Manu Luksch. 1. Mark Amerika / USA: Hypertextual Consciousness 2. Mervin Jarman / UK: British Airport Authorities 3. Eva Wohlgemuth / Austria: personal information 1_0 _________________________________________________________ Mark Amerika's, "Hypertextual Consciousness" depicts a near-future world where stories are no longer conceived for book production but are instead created for a more immersive networked-narrative environment. Mervin Jarman's, "BAA" mimics a corporate website utilising HTML forms and feedback techniques to highlight and criticise prejudice built into immigration procedures encountered on entering the United Kingdom. Eva Wohlgemuths, "Personal information 1_0" is based arounda 3D scan of her body incorporating 'real' points (seven existing tattoos) as nodes acting as links to various personal stories and anecdotal commentaries. dfi is dedicated to supporting artists and curators seeking to site work specifically and exclusively on-line. The site will change on a quarterly basis with a lifespan of two years ending March 1st 2001. dfi is funded by the University of Westminster and is coordinated by Alison Craighead. Alison Craighead is a researcher at the University also working as an artist in collaboration with Jon Thomson. The dfi site structure is the design work of avco productions Ltd. www.dfi.org.uk <a href="http://www.dfi.org.uk>dfi</a> _________________________________________________________ /\ __ ____/ / / _> __ / __ / / / \/ / /_/ / / __/ /\ ?
