I do agree with you that the current bombing of NATO has not a
"humanitarian" effect, that things will escalate. I do not know, if the
strategists of NATO did foresee all this - or are they just reacting and
wondering what happens?

Moreover, I also do not see how the war will be stopped, how peace will come
about, when and what peaceful objectives could be reached. Apparently, they
(NATO and Miloshevic) stumbled into it.

I foresee that NATO ground troops will move into Kosovo (this was the best
time to capture American soldiers and show them on TV: more Americans will
agree with the sending of ground troops - are we sure that this capture was
not organised by NATO?), but since that will not stop the problem in Kosovo,
they will move on into Serbia until Nis - in a full fledged war, maybe to
the x degree latitude. Russia will send some old machine guns and give nice
rhetoric.

But: Just a question: Could you, brave academics, please send us the copies
of your letters or emails of deep humanitarian and historic concern, and the
appeal to end when a Serbian army was killing the people of Bosnia or
Croatia or Kosovo?
