Distance is and has always been very > earth bound and very political. The 'net does resolve signalling distance (for those who have access). Bits do travel globally and very fast - look, I'm replying sitting here in the west coast to some chick in flatlands. The communication space did collapse, I'd say that most of us internally think of internet as an area about 5 miles (8km) wide, with approximately circular shape :-) (is there any "art" on internet visualisation ?) But communications space is not, contrary to "visionaries", so important after all. The 'net itself today is the most prominent rebuttal of cyber-space theories. Meatspace rulez. Pass the ammo. ===== end (of original message) Y-a*h*o-o (yes, they scan for this) spam follows: __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? LAUNCH - Your Yahoo!
